City Plans Maintenance On Rolling Ridge Ditch (Flood Mitigation Canal) The map, a screenshot from the City of Waukesha’s website, shows the areas that will be receiving maintenance in the near future.  A recent letter sent to property owners along Rolling Ridge Drive indicated that the work includes “…mowing, removal of trees and woody growth and overseeding.”   The letter also mentioned that herbicides will be used “as needed” to control invasive species.

2025 Budget Approved

The 2025 WMC budget has been approved at the December 2nd Annual Meeting. The annual assessment will remain $150 for the 4th consecutive year.

WMC Hit With Huge Real Estate Tax Increases

The WMC and its 339 property owners will be in for a huge increase in property taxes on the 17 outlots owned by the WMC for 2023.  When the City of Waukesha completed the revaluation last spring, most of the outlots were assigned a higher value, but there was no indication that the taxes would be increased by 400% to 500% on over half of the outlots.   The 2022 taxes on the 17 outlots amounted to $377.  The WMC was billed $1580 for 2023.   In addition to the hefty tax hike, the WMC has learned that each outlot will be assessed a monthly “fire protection charge” of $10.50 by the Waukesha Water Utility. This will be an additional expense exceeding $1500 per year.   The WMC Board plans to challenge these fees and tax increases.
